Hi...  I'm new to Substance Painter and am looking for the equivalent of "mask by cavity" in Z-Brush where you can mask out all the little cracks and details and then darken them.  Sort of like ambient occlusion but getting right into all the normal map cracks and making them stand out.  Thanks for any help with this and pointing me in the right direction.

If you have a good curvature bake you can use the mask generator to grab details in the concave areas. Play with the curvature settings.

If you're looking for actual AO, you can just add an AO channel in your Texture Set Settings and then drop a fill layer with only AO turned on and set it to black. Then drop a mask with a generator on it set to Mask Editor. In that editor make sure that curvature is turned on as well as MicroDetails normal/height (whichever one you're using to stamp details onto your model)

Once all that is done drop an anchor onto your normal detail layer and then update the AO fill layer with your anchor reference and make sure its set to the right channel.
