Need help with some character modelling please!

Hey, guys so ive wanted to try and help myself by making more base meshes and develop them in zbrush but when it comes to modelling my references i found it not to be right the character i would like to model is Broly from dragon ball z. I have the reference but when making the base mesh they dont seem to be alligned or matched up in max even when i use the 'bitmap fit'. I just wanted some help especially people who have modelled characters from dragon ball Z

Char refs never lign up. You have to imagine how they look. Thats why its so hard todo chars. Do the first and start over again until you get what you are looking for. Could take two tries or twenty and a year of work. There is no shortcut to learn that in one day.

For questions like this post here.
The character will never line up perfectly because the reference is probably in artistic perspective. You could spend hours trying to match your model with the reference by adjusting the edit camera's FOV. Character artists usually use reference images as a guide not as an absolute. If the reference image is in orthographic projection, no problem. Changing the edit camera from perspective to orthographic is just a hotkey click, or button away. That wont help here though.

You have to use your artistic judgement and eyeball it. These are drawn in perspective so you wouldn't expect them to line up.

Use the front or the side as a general proportion guide or chop image up in photoshop and use rulers and whatever editing tools to 'force' them to line up if you haven't got the confidence to eyeball it.
