Started a new project
Subject pretty much sums it up. You all know her, you probably love her
Well, I personally do, very much.
Started with a rough anatomy blockout
Did some MD simulation
And started sculpting some additional pieces, folds and embroidery.
Main focus of this piece would be the materials. This is going to be a fabulous brocade dress with a lot of uniquely sculpted embroidery.
Man is it going to take a long time!
Cheers!

@Alex Javor The intricate detail on your Durga artwork is looking very impressive! And the way you handled tiger fur is inspired. I'm definitely going to try doing short animal fur that way if I ever need to work on it!
@dGreenberg Thank you so much, Dave!
I other news, my wrist is tired :Ь
Decided to cheese the armchair a little to save up on time.
Didn't sculpt the hair cause it will be made with cards and because the tool is already 150mil heavy ヽ(°〇°)ノ
@Denzil_forde Ey thanks man! I really can't wait to start working on the materials myself
@Alex Javor Thanks! Nope, all the embroidery is hand-sculpted, although I'm now curious about that plugin
@CybranM Thank you!
Looking forward to see more!
@Tits Thanks Marie!
@Joopson Thank you! It means a lot!
Update time. Got some free time on my hands, so some more progress on the textures.
The render is 4k on the large side, so you can view the image separately for better details
Some more screenshots meanwhile
@Pav3d @Tits Thank you guys so much!
@LeahM Thank you! Patience is certainly helping. Both with fabric and the ever-crashing Substance Painter
Thank you all for your comments and feedback.
@Pav3d Thank you so much, this was very instrumental in fixing the issues!
I've resculpted the face, several times. Not 100% happy with it, but definitely more content with how it turned out. I've also retextured her from scratch because in my eternal wisdom I rotated the lowpoly slightly and broke all the hand-painted masks. Painted all of them from scratch and turned them into IDs. Overall I have the background and the haircards left.
And then I can move on to lighting and renders
Changed up the textures some more. Added some puffiness to the fabric inbetween the embroidery to add some weight to it, tweaked some tints to better unify the work in general. And started working on the hair. Did the eyebrows and the eyelashes first and then started on the hairdo. I'm currently working up the main hair mass and will add the breakup strands and general hair flow planes after.
Cheers, y'all
