Trouble with Hair - Zelda Project.

Hello, So I have been modeling a wolf link mash up for my university project and have been struggling to create hair. I have tried hair cards but had an issue with the texture, at the moment I need to create a final result within two weeks and wouldn't mind having a sculpted finish. 

I guess what im trying to say is if anyone has a way to create hair or could give any advice on creating hair id love to hear it XD.
The following images are the model at the moment and have a sub tool sectioning where I would like hair.

The hair Im looking to create would be from one of the images below.

The bloodborne hair is realistically a perfect example.
