I am working on this model for my portfolio and I would appreciate any kind of feedback. The highpoly is mostly done but I'm finding hard to get a nice clean topology for the low-poly model, so any comments would help a lot.
Hey, I'd suggest maybe adding more polys to the curved part of the chair at the top (red lines) and rebaking. It also looks like a bake error where I've circled in red, but might not be an error, I can't really tell from this distance. I think if you put this model in a simple environment that was predominantly orange'ish, it would really pop!
@Ashervisalis Thanks! I went ahead and added a bit more geometry in the places you mentioned and also few other areas.
I also removed the strong folds that didn't really make sense seeing other references of this leather material. The textures still need some work to hit AAA quality I think...
With that polycount, I'd model in the X shaped indents, at least where the buttons are.
Hey Zac, thanks for the feedback. Do you mean something like I did here? I thought about it but decided to simplify it because I was getting a dirty and irregular mesh, but I'll give it a try. Thanks again!
