Figured it was high time I finally made one of these...so here it goes.

Technically finished up this guy 2-3 weeks ago, but figured it was recent enough for kicking off this sketchbook.



And rendered this guy out earlier today, will eventually be a part of a larger scene involving a 1950s style diner.

Really good stuff Cody! Loving your stylized work. Robot guy reminds me of OW's Bastion. I can clearly see in the SD material the cracks in the bricks kinda having half-strength opacity-wise, it's a bit underwhelming to me for that reason. It's like a layer in Photoshop where the artist forgot about it and left the fix layer at 50% opacity.

Still though, lovely work! It pops quite pleasantly.

Thanks! I'm glad you said Bastion, because I referenced him a lot when making that mech

And you're exactly right with the opacity, it is pretty low. I'll play with it some more and get it to read better.
