what could cause this problem? any new textures i change on the material they turn to be white not completly white any1 know?

i solved it, it was a specular map causing it

i am trying to bring this enviroment to life, my goal is to make it icelandic almost dead land what should i do to make it better than it is
should i add more rocks on the ground? should i go for tessellation displacement?

If you're after an Icelandic vibe, work with some real-world references. Focus on the alluvial patterns, as they'll drive a lot of your other decisions.
