What type of modeling is this? I ask because I would like to learn how to design creature meshes just like this including adding the textures for like the eyes. I have tried to goggle some concepts but the only thing i get is like realistic monsters.
Basically i am just trying to learn how to become a cartoonic mesh maker. I mostly use Cinema 4D, but i dont even know where to begin this time of design. I already have some monsters illustrated but need a good idea on where to start. If anyone has an idea that could lead me in the right direction, please let me know.

Or just box model your way to this character.
If you want the eyes as animated UVs, I would recommend looking at Pokemon models people have got from the 3DS games. I can't link them here for obvious reasons, but basically, the facial features are on a sheet, with a different frame of animation for each expression. It looks like this, and the UVs for the face are keyframed over the required expression, giving it a stop motion sort of look:
The other way you could tackle it is by modelling the eyes and mouth in. This is the trickier way of doing it, but it can look nice if done right. For oddly shaped eyes such as in that image, the eyelid tends to be a completely separate mesh that only appears briefly when blinking as that shape is a bit tricky to get looking right when doing animations such as blinking.
The topology would look more like this:
I personally find this kind of style easier to start in Zbrush, but it is possible to box model this too. Whatever works best for you!
Hope that helps!
