Just got done with my first hard-surface, high detail model for my Final Year Project and I was hoping I could get some constructive criticism, feedback and critique. Mostly looking for things I you liked, what I could improve on, things I could/should change, etc.
I think there would be a big improvement if the part on the end of the nozzle did not have the same angle as the rest of the gun. The way it is right now gives off the impression the image is skewed.
@Ashervisalis I personally feel it looks appropriate for the weapon but i'm open to suggestions; anything you have in mind? My first thought would be to make it straight vertically but it feels weird in my head.
@Brian "Panda" Choi I'm not that accustomed with weapon design but I quick looked up a trigger guard and I don't think this weapon has any trigger guard whatsoever. Or perhaps are you looking at part of the grip?
I think a straight/vertical muzzle would bring it back to looking like an actual gun. Still stylized, but it would make it more pleasing to the eye I believe.
You should work a bit more on the design, your current design lacks ergonomics. The distance form the pistol grip to the end of the buttstock is way to long for a human arm, compare the dimensions from your design to real firearms. The bipod also looks too tiny for such a massive weapon.
yeah -- study real world weapons more in depth first and then your next design is going to improve a lot, even if it's from the imagination. You don't got to be a weaponsmith but to the casual observer all parts of the thing should display harmony of form and function.

And there's very little reason for the gun to be THAT horizontally thick.
