Modeling a Key

Hey there. I'm a first year student and my 3D Animation class homework is to model a key in 3DS Max. If anyone can give me any tips and tricks, I'd be a happy little boy. Here's one of the reference photos.

The best tip I can think of for your first models is to just start modeling. Do not overthink it and do not be afraid to fail, you will probably not succeed in your first try. But stick at it, working in 3D takes time and you will learn a lot from your mistakes.
