Can i have meshes(white ones) crossing one another in Unreal ? Doing temple and im curious can i use one long beam instead of many and how will engine react?
Depending on view distances and how you light your scene, intersecting geometry can help you plug light leaks. It'll cost you some (theoretical, frequently trivial) space in your lightmap and you'd get better shading if you use unique geometry, but it's usually a safe choice. Play around with using Lightmass AO maps in your materials to fake some boundary shading.
