Hello everyone.
I'm learning 3D modeling and texturing and at some point I noticed that texturing always causing me great difficulties. Usually I spend most of the time on that and still not happy with the result.
I attached some renders I made in the past and will appreciate any critique and any advices about improving quality and skills.

I think the most important thing for texturing is to get the right image references. Can you show us what were your references for texturing if you still have them. Try to find the most realistic possibile.
I think you should focus on the details, like tears, dirt etc etc.. or some color variations too.. this is what in my opinion is missing in your works.
I saved a sword reference as it was my recent practive work.
i think this video may help you understand better.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj1FK8n7WgY.. let me know what you think!
Thank you for video. That was a really helpful explanation and with your advice now I have a lot of stuff to practice and improve. Also will try to stick more to the references and maybe make something more detailed and complex.
