How to make that one spotlight does not overlap with another?

Hi. I am a noob in how building light. I'm trying to create a fake uniform lighting in my scene like during cloudy weather. I placed a spotlight in each window and at the intersection of the light sources overlap each other. How can you turn off overlap of light on each other?

Overcast lighting is soft because the dense clouds collects and refracts the light rays so it acts kinda like a huge area light. So to achieve soft shadows, you would need to have area lights. In order to have that, just increase the source radius parameter of the spotlights until you get the desired result.
