ID Maps + Substance Painter Multi-Part Object Baking??

Hi guys, 

I'm heading into texturing and baking my modeled assets in Maya, but I'm confused about how to start. I've modeled assets and combined parts of assets to form a full mesh. 

My question is, do I need to add ID Maps to each object before texturing or will substance be able to tell the difference between different objects that I've combined into one mesh?

Will Substance painter know to throw said texture on just one object of my choosing instead of the entire mess or is that something I need to specify?

Here's an example of an asset that these questions may apply to:
(The Model closes to the camera is My High Poly and the farthest from the camera is the low poly)
