I've been steadily trying to wrap up this small scene in Marmoset. I still have a few textures/errors to fix but at the same time wanted to get some opinions on how to push and improve the lighting. More contrast?
So the bakes have been updated finally and I think I've managed to make the lighting a bit more interesting. Just a few more texture polishes and trying to improve the composition as well.
I think this asset is looking pretty good but your presentation could be better, especially the first image. If you create a more dramatic lighting setup that turns the forms more it will help get a bit more depth to the composition. Right now things are feeling a bit flat because of the lack of strong lighting.
I think its easier to see in this grayscale version. Maybe try a 3 point lighting setup for these?
Thanks for the thought. I do see what you mean when you say it comes across as a bit flat. I'll play with the contrast in black and white and see if I can pull out/highlight the shapes of the weapons a bit more.
