Hi everyone! I thought I'd post my process during the making a prop inspired by the city of Zaun in League of Legends lore. This will be an optimized hand-painted item that I've concepted. The idea behind this asset is a potion that is inserted rather than drunk.
Reference:
There is a lot of reference around for Zaun and items of this type, and with the theme being "The City of Iron and Glass" I decided it would be perfect for this asset.
Concept:
So for the concept, I drew some sketches on paper, then went into maya and created a base model. Screenshotted it and painted over it in Photoshop to get what you see below. For the color palette, I picked off of Warwick's splash art. These textures are not final of course, just using it to define materials.
Edit: Changed the concept after critiques, the bottom left grey model is what I am using now.
