Hello there what's the best way to bake cylindrical? Whatever I try however I try keep getting terrible normal maps with artifacts on edges, I am having no problem with box/plane shape baking but with cylindricaAny fix?,(I have 15 face)
your lowpoly is just too different from your highpoly. right now you waste a ton of tris for no gain. https://us.v-cdn.net/5021068/uploads/editor/6z/phh78dit2jke.jpg like in this image, instead of a lowpoly bevel you should use the tris to make the outer rim rounder.
also 15 points on the crossection is a really odd number, take something that can be divided by 2. i guess you are not intending to do LODs but this makes or breaks any LOD workflow.

Hey thanks for the reply, I didn't get the line, can you clarify once more?
Think of it like those baby toys where you match different shapes to their corresponding holes. Imagine the HP is a perfect circlular hole and you're trying to cram a 15 sided shape into it. Its not fitting. Not because the edges arent smoothed but because there aren't enough faces around the object.
These days we can afford more triangles. Still a lot of people using ultra-low geo on curves. Don't go mental, but always inspect your silhouette. If it's too blocky, don't be afraid to add extra segments.
haha I agree, I am mentaly disordered on maintaining low poly, dunno why but I always make them extream low, may be I was using my gt 610 for a long time that's why.

remove the red bevel and use the triangles you gained in smoothing out the silhouette like shown in green
