[WIP] Dawi Gate/Cave Entrance (UE4)

Hello dudes !

I'm starting a new project and I hope you will enjoy it.
I'm working on some Dawi structure from the Warhammer Universe. 

My main concept will be this one, made by Robin Lhebrard. 


Regarding the gate, I still don't know what I want to do. I will make some tests to find something that will suit me. 
Here is a quick place holder I've made for the beginning.

    Hey guys,

    First update !

    I've made a fast sculpt for every rocks and add a shader with a normal, a roughness and a base color, just to see how it looks. 
    I used a lot of repetition of the same rock. I'm going to focus on sculpting and texturing of my existing props, but nothing prevents me to make a few more rocks if need be.
    (Each color is for on type of props).



    For the floor, I used the Unreal Engine 4's Landscape tool. The texture on it, is from the great "Josh.a.lynch" found in Substance Share. I will do my own but for now I stay with this one.

    Hi there =)

    New update. 

    I've worked on a better sculpt for my two rocks and the big rock around the gate.
    I've also make a basic texture for my rocks. It's pretty rough for the moment but I will do a better one soon.



    The next update will show the new roof. And perhaps the new/definitive rock texture !

    Hey ! 

    Long time since I've post any updates. I've some stuff to do and I didn't take the time to show my work, so here we are !!!

    First, some pictures of what my environment looks like right now :)

    The ground texture is still not mine.

    Here you can see some quick Iray rendered of every props. 

    This rock is used 28 times.

    This one is used 51 times.

    The rock that I used for the roof. Only 3 iterations

    The rock that surround my gate

    And the one just above it. They are both used one time.

    And my Dawi gate. Had a lot of fun to do it. I've used a lot of various references in order to mix warhammer references to do it. 

    I've also worked on LODs, just to practice. I have more work to do on them, especialy for my rocks. I can optimize them more and I do not like some areas.


    Well, the next update will show some grass and a new ground texture (mine this time =D).

    Hey dude! That looks sick. Do the rocks have a tiling texture added, or do they have a pull on separate texture each?

    Thanks =)

    Each rocks have their own texture. For speed up my process, I have made one smart material in Substance Painter, so I just have to bake my maps and apply my material.
