Hi,
Sorry to spam the board twice in one one but I wonder if anyone could shed some light on this problem. I baked out my "curvature stacked" map (extra mari extension). My character is still small at the moment at 16cm real world (pic1). When I bake out that map in mari using the small scale size, I get a lot of information from the curve map which is good (pic2). However if I scale my character up to human size (167cm) and bake out the map in mari again, I get very little information calculated from the map and only a few areas and cavities are picked up... unlike if the character were small.
I'd obviously like the keep the charecter at full human world scale but the maps generated aren't detailed enough and was wondering what would be the best thing to do? Bake out the maps when the character is small and then just scale him up to full size when he's to be rendered etc? Just wanted to know what people usually do as I'm a bit stumped at the moment
Any help?
