It's such an iconic style to paint textures for some games and I'm completely clueless as to how everyone does it, honestly at this point it looks like black magic to me.
So how do I get started? where do I begin? I'm really curious, I want to learn
lots of traditional and digital painting tutorials on youtube. Lots. I like the tutorials from Aaron Blaise a lot. He was an illustrator/animator for many of the classic disney films. Even though I am not doing stylized textures I watch his content a lot just to soak in the art fundamentals.

Though a technique I seldom use personally but still very useful and fun to learn, just start small at first then move on from there.
