3D artist needed for party-based RPG

Bibdy Games is looking for a talented 3D Unity artist with experience in modelling software to round out our dedicated team. We're in development leading up to a release of a demo, so it's an exciting time to join! You would have a key involvement in shaping the creative direction of the game.


Project Name: BLACKWATER

Project Description: BLACKWATER is a 3D action RPG where you follow the paths of Silas and Maida Foss, an aggressive and enterprising sibling team that attempt to build their wealth and reputation in Blackwater under the oppressive influence of two rivaling trade companies, the Allied Trading Company and the growing Pyr Traffikers. These conflicting agendas mean little under the growing threat from the north—a corruption that, if left unchecked, will consume them all.


Abilities Desired: Ideally, you have Unity 3D experience as well as being comfortable working in modelling programs, like Maya or Blender. You would be working with 2D artists supplying concept art, as well as another 3D artist working on environment art. You would be asked to create 3D characters and monsters. You also have the opportunity to conceptualize your own characters and monsters should you like. Animation and rigging knowledge would be an asset as well.

This will be your primary role, but you are welcome to contribute to other areas as well if interested (and will be compensated accordingly). It would also be ideal if you were based in the UK, but it is not required.

The scheduling is flexible, but we ask that you would normally be available to commit approximately 10 hours a week to the project.


Current Team: Producer/Writer, two 2D Artists, one 3D artist, Sound Designer, Composer, and a Programmer

Project Stage: Development, leading to a playable vertical slice demo

Compensation: Revenue Share - this is not an all-or-nothing scenario (ie. even if you're involved a little bit, then you're still entitled to revenue). Considering this is a revenue share, Bibdy Games is offering generous compensation based on what you deliver, catered to your skills and schedule. We recognize that it takes a lot of dedication to work on a project where you are paid after release, so we do everything we can to make the arrangement reasonable and fair. We are also looking to seek publisher financing following the release of the demo, to provide financing through development.
