Any way to push this border in? My fingers hurt from right clicking all the time.

If anyone knows if its possible, let me know

you could use the rightclick for navigation instead ;)

Yeah I know, it just gets painful to right click after a while, and the border is so small that you have to be almost to precise for me. Maybe it isnt possible to do :(

The frame is supposed to be a navigation area - really? At any rate I use a bit of empty space between UI and document for navigation when up-close - the blue colored border. Achieved by shrinking down the document dimension just slightly.

Sorry if you already know this, but you don't need to right click. You can left click anywhere in the canvas that isn't the mesh and it will navigate. This does mean you have to move cursor off the mesh, but you don't have to go as far as the border.

Also, depending on what hardware you have, it may be possible to map right click to some key that doesn't put stress on you to press it many times. Right-click nav is nice so that you can tumble around the click point on the mesh.

I double checked but as far as I can tell there is no way to adjust the border. You can zoom the canvas but that just gives more unusable space.

yeah but once you are zoomed in so the mesh covers the entire screen you have to use the frame, or well use rightclick as it was introduced to avoid this.

yes. Right click nav is definitely the way to go. But if OP can't do it, and as far as I can tell border cannot be adjusted, what to do? Well, I gave the next best suggestion I could come up with. Hopefully there is a better solution though. I am curious if OP is using a tablet?

Thanks for the replies guys - I do use a tablet. Mapping right click to another key might be a good idea, or shrinking the document size ever so slightly as thomasp suggested.

Bummer that the border can't be adjusted though, as bigtime pointed out you lose some screenspace. Oh well.

Thanks again peeps, polycounters are the best!

For future reference, it's official name is the "Transformation Border".  The 2018 release added an option to turn it on and off, so while that's not useful to you and there's no way to actually control the size of it now, that kind of update might just be the first step towards creating such an option for future releases?

Using right-click navigation in ZBrush is pure joy for me, I don't use any other navigation methods. I have the right-click assigned to the side button of my pen. Easy and doesn't strain the hand at all.
