Question on Maya nparticles, setting goal behaviour & applying "C4D tracelink" similar shadeing

i have pretty much just started out on FX in Maya. Have been working on some snowing effects with Maya nparticles.


Anyway i saw a tutorial in youtube on making Venom goo effects in C4D using thinking particles.

I have tried out setting goal to the emitter nparticles but the outcome doesnt look like how i desire them to be. Tried using primitive sphere or a smoothed cube into a sphere. The path of the particles tend to be changed into the geometry that they were set goal to (i was using directional) as the emitter's path/ type.

Other than that i have turned off all nucleus gravity, wind force and such...

Anyone would be kindly to point me a direction on minmicking the closest result? Thank you.
