HI Im running into a problem that i haven't ever found the answer for. Basically sometimes when i try to move the mesh when the axis orientation is on object mode it doesn't move where the lines are pointing.

I know That if you freeze transformation it works however it changes the direction of the axis which i dont want.

If anyone can help

Try to freeze only the scale transform.

There's a bug in maya 2018 prior to 2018.4 that modify the direction of your transform on objects with non uniform scale.
