Hi,
what’s a simple way to pose a character just for show reel, not animating?

I ran into problem trying pose a character by using zsphere rig,  everytime I did it I almost destroyed the whole thing because of the unusual stretch and also since I textured my model before rigging; now the tiles and body landmarks were stretche in funny ways.

example:

i’m Trying to pose this neutral hand to a grip:

However, the fingers were bent in funniest way possible, I added zsphere in each finger and each joint, but somehow they bent like noodles:

One problem I noticed was that I couldn’t bend sharp turns with the fingers like the following, and It also rotated the fingers unintentionally:

So my question is what’s a better way to control it? I tried diving it in higher res, which is slightly better, but I really want to keep the res low.

Thank you so much !

THe influence of the zspheres depends on their scale. Still, there is only so much you can do. Most likely you just need to manually tweak things after getting roughly into place with teh zsphere rig. Move topo, inflate, are good brushes to help with this, besides masking and using transpose gizmo.  You can also try splicing in some extra spheres to help hold volume, but honestly I'd prefer just to use brushes to tweak things into place.

If you were doing the posing with a traditional rig in maya or something similar, you would manually adjust the influence of the joints to get better deformation. But since you can't do that in zbrush, you just got to do some manual editing with your brushes.
