Hello guys,
I'm currently working on a model for Arma 3 in 3ds max I have made my model and done it's uv's however, there is quite a lot to this model and packing it all into one UV map seems to much and the textures look blurry.
Is it possible to have multiple Uv sets/textures so that the textures come out at a higher quality but keeping the model all as one object too?
Thanks

Instead you can use a MultiSub-Object material, and material IDs.
Just beware, every new material you add decreases realtime performance for your model.
Somehow I doubt they are using more than one sheet. It's been awhile and I am still fairly new to 3d, but I made a soldier character once with LBE kit, an ALICE pack frame, and radio and was able to keep it all in one 2k map with enough resolution so that from 3rd person camera distance you can see the symbols and letters on the radio. Been a minute since I fired up Arma but I don't think their characters have any more resolution than that. Definitely cleaner modeling which helps.
