Well this piece started as a quick exercise to practice a female portrait but turned into a bunch of exercises to practice skin detailing/painting entirely by hand, reworking my workflow and shading for eye set ups, improving my workflow and shading for hair. During this piece there were some really great portraits that came out to keep me inspired and hopefully push it a little further. Overall was able to learn a ton, but definitely ready to move on to something else. Rendered in Marmoset. Tertiary details by hand. Painted in substance painter. Hair done in Xgen.
Hey guys, Heres a personal project ive been working on in my free time. I stumbled across the knowledge that Max Von Sydow wore prosthetics during The Exorcist and figured it might be interesting to seem him in that same role now that he is a comparable age to that of his move counterpart. I wanted to experiment doing character in UE4 and using a similar workflow to the one used to create the meet mike project. Overall this was just a fun time throwing geo at the engine and making it pretty. It was a great chance to get some use out of UE4 as well. This was one of the more fun projects I can remember in recent memory. Fell in love with the drawings that Dela Longfish made, and felt like an opportunity to try something different and also allowed for alot of creative freedom in the final product. Hope you enjoy!
