Hello, his is more of a question than an issue, but this thing came across my mind and I wonder if I am right.
The thing is, one could add multiple materials in a 3D app to a single object, which are automatically presented as different texture set lists in SP. Hovewer, if you use just one material, and then use UDIM textures ( reffering to multiple UV tiles), SP also divides this into multiple texture set lists. Does that mean, UDIM textures and Material ID are more-less the same in terms of texturing ?

The benefit of UDIM is that somebody else has done the work of organising things for you.
For games its fine but for film per face assigned shaders arnt used.
