Hi, guys! For better light understanding i decided to do some relights. And started with Scifi Hallway by Wiktor Öhman. All light are dynamic. For better resolution you can visit my artstation
Hi yura couple of quick crits the first scene needs more focus,it’s difficult to know where to look or what is important, use the lighting to draw the eye to something important that you want to highlight. Lighting isn’t just a technical task of making materials look cool and showing off rendering techniques. Most importantly it’s used to tell a story (or at least strengthen what is already being told) and to lead the player/viewer. second images are better but still have some confusion as to what the images subject is, do I look at the car or the pumps? The cars more interesting but the pumps are centralised and are lit in a way that distracts me from the car, the intent is not obvious in fact it’s obfuscated by the lighting. You can use the lighting here to give more clear intents in your images. also the ambient seems too high given the sky that we can see, making it feel unrealistic and not as dank as it should.
No problem im not on polycount a lot these days but I like to help out lighting artists or people concentrating on lighting as much as possible. There’s not a lot of us out there and we need more
