Hello, I've used Maya and it does have super feature - stack similar UV. Does max has the same feature or something? I kind of bored stack it manually. And NOW I collided with a model that has tons of similar UVs.
There is the copy and paste UV function inside the UV editor. If the shells are the same then you can select the UV you which to stack and hit copy then select the UV you wish to stack it on top of and hit paste. This functionality has gotten better in the later versions of Max particularly 2017 and up.
Another method would be to detach the piece that needs to be stacked, unwrap it the way you want, then instance it to the places thats you need it and re-attach. This will create a stack of the instanced geometry already all unwrapped and stacked on top of each other.
There may be that functionality in PolyUnwrapper but I have not purchased it as of yet so I cannot say for certain.
