Hi,
Whenever, I import an object (say with a position of 50,100,20) to Unreal, the object axis snaps back to 0,0,0 or the ground. Is there a way to maintain those 50,100,20?
The reason is I'm trying to import a lot of wall picture frames to unreal and I already blocked out the position in Maya.
I would like to
(1) Import a dummy object to unreal,
(2) Import the actual frames and duplicate them
(3) Have a the actual frame be a child of the dummy object.
(4) Zero out the position. So the frame inherits the dummy objects position
Again, the problem is in number 4 since the dummy object upon import is in 0,0,0 rather than the actual position in Maya
Is there a way around this?

Thanks for the answer but again I don't want to bake imported pivot. Baking imported pivot means
"dummy object upon import is in 0,0,0 rather than the actual position in Maya"
Anyway, I went into a rabbit hole in a reddit post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/unrealengine/comments/9qww04/newbie_retain_the_transformrotation_values_of/
And concluded that there is no way around this unless you can use the Data Smith plug-in.
