[FINISHED] 1969 Le Mans GT40 chassis P1075
I have been posting progress shots in my sketch book through out the year but now that I am done, Time to make the "official" post
This was a personal project to recreate a archival / game ready version of one of history's most iconic race cars, the 1969 Ford GT40 Chassis P1075. Piloted by Belgian Jacky Ickx and Brit Jackie Oliver leading to the 4th consecutive win for the GT40's at Le Man from 1966 to 1969.
Although I did make a few minor artist modifications to fill in for missing reference material, I wanted to stay as true as possible to the vintage P1075. Finding accurate reference material proved to be a huge undertaking as there are many recreations and copies of the chassis P1075 which are historically inaccurate. While this issue led to the reworking of parts through out the course of project, I felt this project was worth spending the extra time to insure fidelity. I am happy to have been able to bring this project to completion and hope to have done justice to the GT40 legacy.
