I've been researching various indie games with notable minimalist art styles, but it's usually either 2d side scroller-ish (Limbo, Monument Valley) or 3d but feel lacking in the art department (SUPERHOT, Antichamber, Gang Beasts).
I was curious if anyone knew any 3d titles that had a bit more emphasis on the art like Journey or Mirror's Edge (but more on an indie/school project production scale).
Or just any minimalist art in games! I never really appreciated just how good simplistic art styles could look until I started looking into it.

I'm guessing it's ill-advised for aspiring game artists to focus on indie projects? It seems a lot of the art is done through game engines and coding rather than texturing and modeling.
