Hey everyone ! :)
I wanted to share a stylized environment I have been working on in the last couple of months in my spare time.

The environment is built in Unreal Engine using for the most part modular assets and tileable textures.
I developed this environment to see how far I could push modularity in term of modeling, texturing and materials.

The environment is inspired by Eichenwalde Overwatch map: at the beginning I pictured it as library within the castle, but afterward I decided to mix it with some World of Warcraft elements (like the Stone Face fountain, the Elven chairs and the Dranei tables).

The night version is how I imagined the environment from the beginning: I developed the day scene as well to challenge myself with lighting and to test textures and materials in different light conditions.

I attach below just a couple of pictures of it, for more you can check the project galleries on Artstation:
- Daylight environment: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Xqoe0

I also made a level cinematic flytrough for each light condition (using Sequencer and recording it with Nvidia Shadowplay).
- Nighttime level flytrough:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SOQWeH4-2s
- Daylight level flytroughhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3kfgDPlvZI
Note: I suggest you to watch the videos at 1080 60 fps, as Youtube file conversion tend to ruin the video quality and smoothness at lower settings (that is out of my control and I didn't manage to find a way to fix this, sorry). :(

This project has been a sort of playground to experiment with workflows, style, lighting and many many other things. It has been tough and funny at the same time. Far from being perfect (there are so many things I would redo and change) I also wanted to call it done and move to a new project.

I also did an extensive breakdown of the assets, the textures and the materials: check the other Artstation galleries of my portfolio for more: https://www.artstation.com/andrea-massa
If you are really keen you can also download the Windows playable demo of it: https://goo.gl/Fopm1J
More info on the playable demo here: https://goo.gl/tWZEtg

Finally some of you might find interesting the Trello board I used to plan out the work to do during the initial phase (and where you can also find several WIP images of the modeling): https://trello.com/b/WL7XBPJs/mage-hideout

I hope you like it. :)
Any criticism is more then welcome and highly appreciated.

I can't fit the last image for the day environment as well: sorry. :(
