Beginning to work on a short and simple 3D game with witches. Currently, I'm working through some designs to see what will look good, not too cliche and read well from an overhead perspective in 3D similar to the game Overcooked...
I've been advised that the shorter characters would read better in that perspective. I'm leaning towards 4 and 6. C & C welcome

I drew up a few more characters to get a feel for the angle they will be viewed in game. Hats had to be near falling off to see any of their faces!
These three are the designs I will likely make into 3D. I think the larger body group would make their arm movements a little easier to see.
