I happened across a neat way to do some tiling electrical FX the other day and decided to share. It is meant for doing things like shells around players or electrical floors. The video goes over the setup and stuffs, however if you have questions feel free to ask and I can hopefully answer if you are trying to reproduce a similar effect.


Lastly, with this setup... why does the pixelation happen and why is it affected by the speed value of the panner? Is speed just a multiply?? Because even when I tried to multiply time after the fact... it didn't produce the same results. It was super odd, but could potentially be used for some other interesting FX
