Just a question on udims and substance... if I've modelled a boot in zbrush with separate subtools for each part which I want to be a different material (leather, fabric laces, metal buckles, rubber sole etc). Do I merge all the subtools and unwrap everything in maya and just place the pieces on separate udims for the different materials or or do I unwrap everything separately with an individual uv that I want as a different material?

just mask the uvs shells in stubstace...
in substance everything is the same shader... you just seperate the material with diffrent colors in the texture...
thats the idea behind substance...
