Hello all,

I wasn't sure which version of Substance to buy and was hoping for some advice.

I believe, right now, I might just like to try Painter (perpetual licence) but I would really like to have access to Substance Source. Can you only access Source with the subscription method? Or can you access/buy things from Source with the perpetual version?

Or maybe it would be better to just buy the monthly subscription instead anyway?

Thanks for any help in advance.

the "perpetual" license  runs out  in the sense that you lose access to updates/support after a year or so.

It's a cheap enough upgrade and there's not a lot to choose between the subscription model and the perpetual license  in terms of cost if you already own the software but I think I'm right in saying that the subscription is a better deal for new customers.

    Awesome, thanks for the response!

Subscription is sounding like the better option then.
