Hi to everybody

I have a little problem with cavity musk that i right to explain with those picture.

I'm try to create a cavity mask with the high detail sculpt of my WIP, try to mask the pores of the skin of my model but, when i try, this is happens:

On the higher level ov subdivision nothing hapens, on a lower level ZBRUSH cover a very little part of the cavity.

I did some test, back to firs level of subdivision, delete all the higher and than subvidision again and i notice a very different result:

But in the meantime i lost all the "medium" poly information.

So, i try to project high poly model, with sculpt, on the high poly model with new divisions, but once the projection is gone, the issue was still there.

Now, i'm searching for someone that can enlighten me about something that i can use to make cavity mask work properly or even a simple explanation why it cannot work in the way i want, becouse i wouldn't restart the work all together, exspecialy if i don't know the correct workthrough to avoid this kind of problem.

Thanks for the attention and sorry for my broken english ^^'

I am not clear on the issue. Are you saying the detailed sculpt exist on higher after you removed it from the lower or are you saying that the problem persist on the lower subdivision after you remove it from the higher? In either case you will need to go back and erase it from each subdivision with the smooth brush. Deleting higher subdivisions is ok but always keep your lower ones if you can.

Did I answer it ok or am I misunderstanding something?

I think that my english is pretty broke ^^'

No my problem is about cavity mask.

When i try to mask by cavity in the first case, as it can be see, the effect is extremly poor, despite to use the same alpha with both the model in the first case zbrush mask a very little part of the surface, in the second case, instead, it's very more relevant.

And i don't understand why this is happens.

The second model is the first one, but with all level of subdivision take away and create again.
(it had 6 level of subdivision, i bring down to 1, delete the higher than recreate new subdivision level)

So in the second case the masking cavity works properly, but i lost the heavy details when i recreate all the subdvision level.

I would to know how to keep the cavity mask work properly without delete and recreate the subdivision level.

Sorry again if i could explain properly ^^'
