ABOUT US

We are a small team working on Edge of Chaos, a next gen low-fantasy medieval Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game.
We are working flexibly given the time we can spare; some of us are working full-time while others are working part-time on this until we get funded, which is an approach we’ve used successfully before to get startups launched and funded. The goal now is to build a high-quality demo for fundraising (through crowdfunding and game investors) rather than a full game and move to full-time and work towards publishing the game post funding. In short: we are of
fering equity split (ownership in our studio), payment post-funding and a full-time position. 

We have a track record in the games industry and experience founding/building multi-million dollar companies but this is a new venture.

THE PROJECT

Edge of Chaos is a low-fantasy RTS game. We felt it is time to pen a new chapter in RTS that goes back to what these old games did so well, while creating a modern competitive online game that balances the importance of multiplayer with a deep single-player experience. Our goal is to build the best next-generation RTS game for the PC. Some of the key features are:

3D CHARACTER ARTIST

We are looking for an exceptional character artist to round out the team. You will be collaborating with the team in creating 3D characters that meet the required polygon-count and texture quality. 

Your main tasks will include:

  1. Creating 3D characters according to polygon count requirements.
  2. Making adjustments when required.
  3. Texturing of models created.
The requirements are:
  1. Knowledge of industry standard modelling and texturing suites.
  2. Being able to self-manage and work under art direction / pipeline.
  3. Exceptional knowledge of realistic human & creature anatomy, attention to detail.
  4. Understanding or learning the import/export process for Unreal Engine 4.
  5. Working remotely until the project is funded.
