Psyonix, an independent video game developer located in downtown San Diego, is looking for a qualified Server Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities Include:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high performance back end management tools
• Perform deployments using a mixture of custom and industry standard tools
• Develop automation, management, and monitoring tools
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Work closely with other teams, including technical and non-technical personnel
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must have 5+ years software development experience
• Experience architecting, writing and debugging systems
• Experience with MySQL databases, REST APIs, and web services
• Experience deploying and running code remotely on Linux
• Experience with SSL and WebSockets
• Ability to write and maintain technical design documentation
• Ability to verbally communicate complex technical information
Preferred:
• Experience with all of the follow: C++, C#, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS3, jQuery, PHP7, Bootstrap 3+, Bash, Ansible
• Data analysis skills
IMPORTANT NOTE: Evening, overnight, weekend, holiday and on-call work may be required. Ideally, candidate should be available to participate in on-call escalation rotations if needed.
