Psyonix, an independent video game developer located in downtown San Diego, is seeking a mid level to seasoned Producer to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for a Producer seeking to grow their career, gain experience in the live game and eSports genre, while thriving in a fast paced work environment. Our production culture is one of facilitation, organizing, and creating clarity in a rapid and agile development environment. Our ideal candidate must be self motivated and collaborative.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Overseeing feature development and teams
· Managing a large volume of assets that require multi-discipline collaboration; ensuring the team is aligned throughout development
· Coordinating and running weekly meetings
· Creating, maintaining and tracking tasks
· Recording meeting notes when needed and translating them into coherent list of action items
· Providing ongoing risk assessments to production and leadership team with respect to weaknesses, bottlenecks, and risks to schedule and quality
· Resolving workflow obstacles, and helping improve the overall workflow
· Facilitating team needs and special projects
Requirements:
· 5+ Years of production experience
· Prior experience in video game development - ideally shipping at least one title
· Prior experience working with art and engineering disciplines
· Prior experience owning a project
· Strong multitasking skills; ability to handle multiple tasks at once
· Excellent time management skills are a must
· Must be detail oriented and display strong problem solving skills
· Has solid interpersonal and relationship building skills
· Must be proficient in bug tracking software. Familiarity and MS Project is desired
· Positive attitude and passion for making games
Pluses:
· Familiar with Rocket League
· Worked on a live game
· Good eye for game quality and strong advocate for the end-user experience
· First party submission experience
· Outsourcing experience
· Programming experience or understanding of technical pipelines
