Hello all,
I'm looking to apply for a level artist position but was hoping to get some feedback on my portfolio first.
If anyone has any advice (no matter how big or small) it would be very much appreciated.

Even if you are looking for a job where you will be primarily building levels using content created by other artists you will very likely still need the skills necessary to create your own content (or edit existing content). You'll want to show potential employers that you understand the current-gen art pipeline and that you're capable of modeling and texturing if the need arises.
If I don't see it in the portfolio I assume that you're not capable of doing it and this puts you at a serious disadvantage competing with other artists who can not only put together a scene but who also show their capabilities creating models/textures/materials.
The particular company I'm looking at applying to doesn't specifically list asset creation/texturing as a role... but like you said, it can only strengthen the portfolio. Unless I'm awful at it - which I hope isn't the case haha.
