I've been doing some tests with the Quixel Mixer and thought about sharing them here

For a little bit of context, Quixel Mixer is a newly released software which allows you to create tilleable surfaces, but the main different with say substance designer is that this one heavily relies on photogrammetry. As a huge fan of SD's limitless capabilities i was very looking forward to testing the Mixer, mainly because i don't work on it despite working at Quixel

So i'll be using this thread to create materials which break the Mixer's comfort zone, namely realistic/natural materials. I'll be going through some food materials, gore, metals,, some nature stuff, plastics, sci-fi, etc... just to keep exploring, understand the software a bit better and send some feedback to the dev team.
