The Unity Awards - Winner for Best Student Project went to Lyra: The Traitor Lyngrave
We are excited to say BA Games Art and Design final year students Alec Thomas & Callum Tweedie-Walker won the Unity Games award for “Best Student Project in the World” for Lyra: The Traitor Lyngrave. This category is intended to highlight some of the best student projects around the world that make use of the Unity Games Engine. The Unity Awards is one of the lecturer’s favourite events of the year as it’s a chance to see what all the students are producing around the world.

The game is a small proof of concept demo we put together as an introduction to our universe. Featuring non-linear narrative with turn based combat, the game follows two characters; Lyra and Oakmont, on their journey through a dark world currently embroiled in the start of civil war.
