[WIP] Princess Koneko-Chan

Hey everyone! I started work on a new project, based on an illustration by Dashiana! Koneko-chan is my fave so it had to be done eventually.

There's a lot of difficult shapes in there, so wish me luck

Here's my progress so far, still blocking in the shapes:

I just got a full time job, so progress will be slow but steady!

I refined the jacket a little bit, and started adding feathers to the hat. There's probably no way I'm going to be able to replicate the concept completely, but I'm going to at least die trying

The character is looking great, @nekromantikko! As long as you're able to capture the feel of the original concept I don't think you need to replicate it beyond that. You could maybe break up the silhouette further if you opened out the glove cuff even wider (horizontally) to get a punchy-er read on the arms. Either way it'll be awesome to see all the rope pieces and frills come together by the end. Good luck with all the pieces!

@dGreenberg Thanks! Yeah I know, I'm just sometimes a bit obsessive when it comes to things like this I think you're right about the gloves, I widened them a bit and I like it more.

As a general update, I'll post more pics later today, she's almost ready to be posed. I'll add the overcoat, ponytail and the rest of the frills after posing I think.

Posing start! So far so good. I'll have to make the mic next
