I decided to learn a bit of zbrush and made this as my first project, following a tutorial. Tell me what you think. I hope to improve my anatomy as I work through more exercises (specifically demon anatomy lol).
Hey, thanks for posting. I think you need to spend more time in lower division levels and work out the forms. You went into detail to quickly, and your character is lacking a lot of internal volume and structure. Thanks PeterK for the paint over, very informative!
There was really no reference, except for the instructor's sculpt which I was trying to follow along. This was meant as an introduction to the zbrush interface and main features, so the outcome was a bit improvised, experimenting with the various brushes and seeing what looked good. I tried to give it a bit of my own style without copying exactly. Here's a snapshot of the instructor's sculpt
That's a real meaningful improvement, nice job. I like the new neck area a lot too.
Sorry, I meant to say that last image (grey clay) was what the instructor made, not me. Brian was asking for a reference image and that there was the closest thing. Sorry to get your hopes up , but I'll get there eventually and your paint-over was really cool.
