Starting off my first 3D realtime character with a Parasite Eve re-imagining fan art. This character was done for CGMA's Next Gen Character Art class taught by Adam Skutt. I learned a lot, especially having to learn every 3D program from scratch, as well as all the technical hurdles and modeling/texturing pipeline. As a first 3D model, a lot of things aren't perfect, so I hope to take what I've learned and apply it to my next projects.
Most of the struggles I had were with just the basics of figuring pipeline essentials. Every artist had their own way of doing things and that confused me more than often. I find the difference with 3D from 2D is that the technical issues with 3D can get frustrating and as a beginner, can block you from weeks of work. But that's from me as a noobie's point of view.
