As the title says, I'm going to be turning hearthstone cards into little 3D scenes, not going for a 1:1 recreation, but following the general idea and design. The Concept: (Don't know who made this art, would love to give credit.) Work In Progress 01:
Work in Progress 2: Not sure how I'm going to do the claws. Part of me wants to do something similar to the concept, but I also want to have some floating claws being tethered by a lightning current.
Awesome choice of concept to make. I'd like to try something like that, but I really suck at hand-painted texturing)) Wish you good luck and inspiration.

Thanks, I also struggle with hand painted assets sometimes, but I want to learn the style, so I guess there is no other way to improve other than to put the nose to the grindstone.
WIP Update #7 Worked a bit more on proportion tweaks. Almost ready to call this done, but I feel like it`s missing something to take it to the next level.
well, look at the concept. It's so vivid and organic. Then look at your model and see how mathematically straight every line is. Your model completely lacks imperfections that make things interesting.
Bend, warp, twist, distort the surfaces and let go of the symmetry. Also, I'd go back and double the width on every bevel just to soften the look on the entire thing.

Ready to call the model done, now onto UV and texturing.
Finished the UV mapping and some more modeling tweaks.
Going to play a bit more with proportions to get it a bit closer to the concept.
Started texturing, just some base colors and basic highlights.
Any tips/critiques are welcome.
