I'm several months late on this, but finally got around to posting the 1st part of my vegetation work from Middle-Earth: Shadow of War -- in-game level shots of all 5 open world maps I created vegetation for!
I used a combination of software to achieve all this, if you have any questions, feel free! - 3DSMax/Speedtree for all the modeling/setup - Zbrush/Photoshop/nDo for the texturing of barks and leaves -Substance Painter for the high-poly baking of bark textures - Substance Designer to generate/tune foliage masks painted in the engine that are used to spawn a bulk of the vegetation with
More parts to come in the following weeks...material renders, asset renders, misc work (blockouts, stylesheets, tech work, etc.) !
